Home Bargains – course presentation

As part of my course "Business environment", I had to make a presentation with four others students of my course on Home Bargains, an english brand. 

Each member of the group had to work on a subjet, and after we gathered all the part to return the report and do the presentation.

What about Home Bargains in UK? 

 

TJ Morris Ltd, trading as Home Bargains, is one of the UK’s fastest growing discount retailers. It carries a wide range of top quality, high street brands – from health and beauty products to household goods, food, toys and so much more – all at prices that other retailers struggle to match!

Home Bargains was established over 40 years ago, in 1976, by Tom Morris, with it’s first store opening in Liverpool.
The company now boasts over 400 stores and employs more than 17,000 staff, and is the largest employer in Merseyside.

The company intends to continue its rapid growth and has ambitious expansion plans as it plans to grow to 800 stores, employing over 30,000 staff.

Me, I had to speak about the customer service. Customer service is the experience a customer receives when they purchase a product or service from a particular business. When customers receive good customer service they are more likely to return to the business to purchase their products or services again.

On internet 
Home bargains offers  a customer service section on its website, where you’ll find in the section "contact us". It is separated into two sections, online customers and others enquiries. In both you can choose among several pre formulated questions about shopping online (payment, order) or shopping in store (store returns, opening times) and an employee in one of the Home Bargains offices will answer to your demands.

On stores 
Employees’ work every day in store in order to deliver a great customer service experience. Employees are trained to deliver the highest level of customer service that they can, in order to make the customers experience as comfortable as possible. Bad customer service can have a serious impact on the business as a reputation for bad customer service can discourage other customers from visiting the shop.

Home bargains recognises their staff hard working and call them the face of their company and thank them for the drive behind their success. They describe their team as friendly, knowledgeable, clean and tidy which helps sets their stores apart from their competition. Their staff help promote and talk about the good brains they have in the store. They can reccomended and interact with the customers and recommended the latests ‘star buys’ to create a memorable and enjoyable shopping experience like no other.
