When I arrived at Milan on Saturday evening my internship started one day later so I had not time to visit the city center of Milan. My first visit of Milan’s heart was one week after that. I was walking on the Duomo Plaza and I thought there were so many people. I knew Milan was touristic and attractive but it was a rainy day and I didn’t understand this crowd. I quickly understand. We were one week before the Italian elections and there were political meetings and parades in the streets. On the Duomo Plaza one of the Italian political leader was speaking and the crowd loudly answered him. Few minutes after this political discovery of the city I walked on Via Montenapoleone, one of the most luxurious streets, and I saw a parade which was arriving in the street. Obviously I walked ten minutes in the parade to find out how it was. It is rather to be among people we don’t understand the language, even more when you don’t know with what kind of people you walk. Eventually on the evening I looked for what this political party is on internet and finally I found out it was a far right party. Fortunately everything was going to be all right.
