· Sales management
This module aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of sales management theories and to equip them with skills required to participate constructively in a sales management environment
· Managerial economics
This module aims to give students an appreciation of the economic principles underlying major business decisions. It aims to allow students to be able to explore a range of ways in which economics can be used to help understand what firms do and to be able to apply basic economic approaches to solving business problems. It assists students to appreciate the nature and structure of the firm and its implications for managerial decision-making. The concepts introduced in this module provide students with skills which can be applied in their business career and provides a foundation for future modules.
· Human resource management
The main focus of the module is on contemporary human resource management theory and its application in the workplaces. Each of the core HR policy and practice areas will be explored. Students will be encouraged to discuss, appreciate and apply key theory, conceptual frameworks and knowledge of issues and common practices in the human resource management area of organisation studies.
· Business law
The aims of this module are to provide the student with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the principles of contract law and areas of commercial law which are relevant to business. This knowledge and understanding will enable the student to operate effectively in relation to matters of a contractual nature, limit the legal exposure of the business and liaise effectively with legal advisers. As law is an ongoing and dynamic subject the syllabus content will be expanded or modified, as the case may be, to reflect developments in the law set out in this Module.
· Financial management
This module aims to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of the theoretical foundation and framework for Financial Management. It aims to provide students with transferable analytical skills that can be applied in various business scenarios.
· Global business
This module aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the key business drivers in the global business environment.
